Cadena will join the company on 1 November and will be based in the US.

He arrives at Catena with over 20 years of experience in growth roles for consumer technology and media companies. Cadena’s most recent role was at Fox Entertainment, where he served as senior vice president and head of revenue and strategy for its brand TMZ.

Cadena was previously tasked with setting corporate vision and strategic direction for TMZ across its digital, television, originals and experiential business.

He currently serves as a non-executive director of Raketech and also previously worked for Caesars Interactive as VP of strategy and corporate development.

Michael Daly, Catena Media CEO, said that the company is excited to welcome Cadena to the team.

“His extensive expertise in strategic planning and executing growth for digital media and gaming companies will be a valuable asset for us and enable Pierre to play a core leadership role in our continued evolution in North America and beyond,” he said.

Revenue drops

In August, Catena Media revealed revenue decreases in its Q2 earnings, as its financials struggled across the board.

Revenue was down by 16% in a period where it announced long-term media partnerships, appointed a new interim CFO and published new financial targets for the next two years.
