- Encourages improved business relationships
- Affords superior marketing and PR opportunities
- Provides excellent motivation for your team

- Publicises your personal credentials to your clients, existing employer and future employers
- Presents an ideal opportunity to measure your current performance, consider what has contributed to your success and to look at where you can go from there

How do I enter?
Click on the Submit your entry here tab in the left-hand menu. To enter a category from the list, click on the ‘+’ symbol next to its name which will expand the section to reveal the full criteria. Then click the ‘Submit your entry’ button to proceed to the entry form.
Please read the requirements for each awards category carefully to fully understand what you are required to submit. Following the instructions will give you the best possible opportunity of making it onto the shortlist.
The judges and the criteria will focus on the last 12 months and not before, so please ensure your submission only covers the assessment period.
Please also note that nominations will be assessed based on quality and not quantity. Submitting multiple entries or doing so on behalf of the same company or person will not increase their chances of making it through to the shortlist. Submitting one comprehensive and detailed entry which fully addresses all the criteria and questions, backed up by relevant and compelling supporting documents, will achieve greater cut-through with the judges and increase your chances of progression.
A primary purpose of the iGB Affiliate Awards is to showcase fast-growing and disruptive businesses. Hence while the scale of nominee companies is taken into account by the judges when assessing the quality of submissions against the criteria, managing to successfully demonstrate and convey the growth, innovation and momentum of your business via your submission is likely to exert an equal if not greater influence on the judges’ final decision.
Full details of the 2024 judging process can be viewed under the Process tab accessible from the left-hand menu.

ALL companies (Affiliates, Programmes, Networks and Service Providers)
The igaming affiliate sector is crowded and highly competitive, but there will always be space for those with a strong product or offer and an effective strategy to carve out a niche. We’re looking for all businesses – this could be an affiliate, programme or service provider – launched between two and five years ago that are now making their presence felt in today’s igaming affiliate market. In particular judges are looking for:
- Evidence of sustained and strong growth over the last two years – in revenue, deals, clients, partners, traffic or conversions
- Evidence of a USP or point of differentiation that is underpinning the sustainable development and growth of the business, whether a new product, a spin on tried-and-tested tactics, or an entirely new way of working
- A robust strategy for further growth, clear milestones, and how the business plans to meet them
Note: for businesses and startups launched within the last two years please see our Best Newcomer category
While a great idea that finds the right audience is the essence of any startup, getting one off the ground in the igaming affiliate space requires far more than that. This category will recognise those companies launched in the last two years that have successfully moved from concept to launch and are now taking the next steps towards establishing themselves as viable businesses in the igaming space. It’s open to all businesses involved in the gaming affiliate sector and judges will be looking for:
- Evidence of product-market fit and audience need for the product/service
- Evidence of early take-up and traction among target customers
- Refinement of product/service in line with feedback and analytics
- Plans for growing, scaling and establishing the business
Note: for fast-growing businesses launched between two and five years ago please see our Rising Star category
Recent years have seen major changes across the gaming industry, from tightening regulations to consolidation (plus there was a pandemic to contend with), and things were no different for the affiliate sector. The innovation award is therefore not looking for disruptive brands or products (these are covered by the Rising Star and Tech categories respectively) but for businesses that can explain the challenges they faced and demonstrate the clever ways they addressed them. The award will be judged on:
- Solutions or approaches that offer something new to the affiliate market
- How these were developed and championed, and the space created for them to take shape
- Evidence of industry adoption
- Problem solving, whether that’s for a new or existing product, responding with a change of approach or strategy or improving an existing offering
The judging process for the iGB Affiliate Awards
The judging panel
iGB’s panel of external industry judges is selected for its expertise on both the igaming affiliate sector and in specialist areas pertaining to individual awards, such as safer gambling. All judges joining the panel are required to sign an NDA to keep all submitted information confidential and the winners’ names secret until the event has taken place. They are also obliged to declare any potential conflicts of interest prior to judging.
Allocation of categories
Judges are allocated categories aligned to their areas of industry experience and knowledge, and to avoid potential conflicts of interest. Judges’ access to submissions is restricted to their allocated categories.
Shortlisting
Shortlists are formed and awards presented only in categories where three or more judgeable submissions are received. A non-judgeable submission is one which includes incomplete/insufficient information for the judges to fully assess the submission against all the criteria for that category. The number shortlisted in each category is calculated on a sliding scale based on how many judgeable nominations are put forward to the judges.
How categories are judged
The judges read every judgeable submission alongside all supporting materials. They provide an overall score for each entry based on their assessment across all the criteria for that category, also taking into account any supporting documents. The judges also give a brief explanation of their rationale for providing this score. Once all the judges’ scores are submitted for all the entries in each category, an average of the scores is calculated for each entry with this converted to a score out of 10. If there is no clear winner from the first round (a minimum one-point margin between the top submission(s) and second-placed entry or entries is needed), the category goes to a second round of judging. A conference call is then held between the allocated judges to decide the winner. The judges may exercise their discretion to award a Highly Commended in these instances.
Feedback on entries
An explanation as to how the shortlist and winners were arrived at in each category can be provided on request. Judges’ comments will be anonymised and average scores given in these instances. Individual judges’ scores and comments will not be shared externally. Please address any questions or requests regarding the judging process to internal judging lead, Stephen Carter (stephen.carter@clariongaming.com).
