Russian betting operator Liga Stavok has agreed a Russia-facing regional partnership with French Ligue 1 football club AS Monaco.

The deal will cover the 2021-22 season and will see Liga Stavok become a regional partner of the team in Russia.

The operator will receive branding placement on LED advertising boards inside the club’s Stade Louis-II home stadium during league games and also benefit from a presence in the team’s officially social media channels.

“This collaboration with a major player in the Russian sports betting market will allow us to strengthen our attractiveness, develop our visibility and offer a special experience to Russian fans of AS Monaco and football,” AS Monaco chief executive and vice president Oleg Petrov said.

Liga Stavok president Yuri Krasovsky added: “The club has a rich history, an impressive list of sporting achievements and an incredible number of trophies to its credit.

“For Liga Stavok, this partnership is a logical next step in the implementation of our business strategy, which is to strengthen our presence in the international market. We are convinced that our collaboration with AS Monaco will be fruitful and productive.”

The deal comes after last month also entered a new regional partnership North America’s National Hockey League (NHL), also in Russia.
