Widerström leaves Catena’s board of directors

Catena Media have announced that Per Widerström has stepped down as a non-executive director after accepting a new role as CEO of 888 Holdings.
Widerström joined the affiliate’s board in May 2019 but has now left his post on the board with immediate effect. Catena’s board will continue with six members until the 2024 annual general meeting.
Göran Blomberg, chairman of Catena’s board of directors said that Widerström’s “extensive experience and in-depth industry knowledge have greatly benefited the board’s work and the strategic direction of Catena Media.
“On behalf of all stakeholders, we express gratitude for his contributions and wish him every success in his new role.”
Widerström will be taking charge of 888 Holdings from 16 October 2023.
Catena has also recently agreed to sell its UK and Australian online sports betting brands to Moneta Communications for €6.0m (£5.2m/$6.6m).
